Attic Insulation Replacement - West Lancaster, 1,680 SF Home
The homeowner had original R-11 fiberglass batts from 1989, compressed to under three inches and pulled away from the eaves. We air-sealed top plates, can lights, and plumbing penetrations first, then blew in GreenFiber cellulose to R-49. The blower-door test read 3,800 CFM50 before sealing and 2,100 after. The written scope, the photo record, and the before-and-after numbers were delivered before we packed up.
Crawl Space Encapsulation & Vapor Barrier - Quartz Hill, Pier-and-Beam Foundation
This 1950s pier-and-beam had bare dirt, active moisture, and fiberglass batts sagging between joists. We removed the wet insulation, graded the ground, laid a 10-mil reinforced polyethylene vapor barrier with sealed seams and mechanical fastening to the walls, then insulated the rim joist with closed-cell spray foam. The relative humidity dropped from 78% to 52% within 48 hours. Documented Photo Record included.
Spray Foam Insulation - Custom Workshop, East Lancaster
A 1,200-square-foot detached workshop with exposed stud walls and a metal roof - unusable from June through September. We applied Icynene open-cell spray foam to the walls and roof deck, creating an unvented conditioned envelope. The interior surface temperature on a 105-degree day dropped from 118 degrees to 82 degrees. Written price before work started, per Haven Standard Clause 1.
Attic Air Sealing & Blown-In Insulation - Rancho Vista, Two-Story Home
Second floor ran ten degrees hotter than the first; the attic hatch had a visible gap and the chase around the furnace flue was wide open. We sealed every penetration with fire-rated caulk and foam, installed a weatherstripped hatch cover, then blew in Owens Corning AttiCat fiberglass to R-49. Blower-door reading: 4,200 CFM50 before, 2,400 after. The homeowner received the photo record and the numbers in writing.
Radiant Barrier Installation - Lancaster, CA, Single-Story Ranch
Dark composite shingles, zero shade, and attic ductwork sitting in 140-degree air every afternoon. We stapled a perforated foil radiant barrier to the underside of the rafters, maintaining ventilation channels from soffit to ridge. Attic air temperature at 3 p.m. in August dropped from 138 degrees to 102 degrees. The HVAC runtime decreased measurably; the homeowner has the photo record and the temperature logs.
Insulation Removal & Replacement - Antelope Acres, Post-Rodent Damage
Pack rat activity had compressed, contaminated, and tunneled through ten-year-old cellulose. We removed all material, HEPA-vacuumed the deck, sanitized with botanical enzyme treatment, sealed every gap larger than a quarter-inch with rodent-proof mesh and foam, then blew in fresh Knauf EcoFill at R-49. Wall Insulation - Downtown Lancaster, 1940s Stucco Home
No insulation in the walls, confirmed with thermal imaging - the stucco stayed cold in winter and radiated heat inward by noon. We drilled 2-inch holes at stud-bay spacing, dense-packed each cavity with GreenFiber cellulose at 3.5 pounds per cubic foot to eliminate settling, then patched and matched the exterior texture. The homeowner reported the south wall no longer radiates heat at 2 p.m. in July. Written scope, written warranty, photo record.
Attic Cleaning & Rodent Proofing - Lake Los Angeles Area
Years of pigeon and rodent activity had left droppings, nesting material, and compromised R-19 batts throughout. We removed all contaminated material, cleaned and sanitized the attic deck, installed metal flashing and hardware cloth at all entry points, sealed interior gaps, then blew in fresh insulation to current code.
