Meet the Lancaster Team Behind Topside Attic Insulation Lancaster
We’re the crew that shows up in your driveway, climbs into your 130-degree attic in July, and hands you a written price before anyone touches a ladder. Every person here is background-checked, uniformed, and trained to the Haven Standard. What ties us together isn’t a handbook, it’s this: we don’t start work without a written scope, and we don’t leave without a photo record and, on air-sealing jobs, a blower-door number that proves what changed.
Our People
Wes Okafor, Owner & Lead Insulation Technician
I’ve been running this crew since 2016, and I’ve personally sealed and insulated somewhere north of 1,200 homes in the Antelope Valley. I hold BPI Building Analyst and Envelope Professional certifications, which means I can run the blower-door test myself, read the manometer, and tell you exactly what that CFM50 number means for your PG&E bill. I grew up in Palmdale, so I don’t need to be told what a Santa Ana wind does to a poorly sealed attic, or why radiant barrier makes sense in a desert climate where your roof hits 160 degrees. When I’m not on a job site, I’m usually restoring a 1978 F-150 that runs too hot, which is fitting.
Marcus T., Senior Installer
Marcus has been with us five years, and he’s the one we send when a job involves spray foam in a tight crawl space or a retrofit wall insulation job in one of the older tract homes off Avenue J. He’s certified in low-pressure SPF application through Demilec, and he’s particular about mix ratios, temperature, and substrate moisture, which matters because spray foam that’s off-spec shrinks or cracks and you’ve got a callback. Before insulation, Marcus spent eight years in commercial roofing, so he spots deck damage, inadequate venting, and pest entry points that most people miss. He keeps a cooler of Gatorade in his truck that he restocks every Monday without fail.
Dana R., Service Coordinator
Dana answers the phones, schedules the crews, and makes sure your written estimate lands in your inbox before anyone drives to your house. She’s been with Topside since 2019, and she’s the reason a live person picks up at (661) 526-2890 instead of a voicemail loop. She knows which neighborhoods in Lancaster have the original R-19 batts from the 1980s build boom, which ones have had rodent issues after the 2019 wet winter, and she’ll flag that on your file so the crew shows up with the right materials. Dana lives in Quartz Hill and coaches a U-14 soccer team that loses gracefully.
Elijah V., Apprentice Technician
Elijah joined us in 2023 after two years in HVAC install, and he’s working through his BPI certification while he learns the trade from Marcus and me. Right now he handles insulation removal, prep, and rodent proofing, which is how you learn to spot every penetration and compromised area before you ever blow a bag of cellulose. He’s meticulous about photo documentation, probably because he used to do warranty claims for a car dealership and knows what happens when there’s no record. Elijah commutes from Rosamond and has strong opinions about the 14 Freeway, most of them negative.
One Standard, Every Job

Topside Attic Insulation Lancaster is independently owned and operated under The Haven Standard, the same standard that governs nine other home-service brands across California. What that means on your job: a named technician, a text when they’re en route, a flat written price before any work starts, and a documented photo record when the crew leaves. On air-sealing and insulation jobs, we run a blower-door test, a pressurization reading that shows, in one number, how much conditioned air your home was losing before we started and how much less it’s losing after we’re done. The 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to everything we complete. If it’s not right, we make it right. That’s Haven Standard Clause 1, and it’s the same in Lancaster as it is anywhere else in the network.
